We have made tremendous progress towards release of numerous varieties with preferred attributes for enhancing human nutrition, animal feeds and industrial extraction of vegetable oil.

By end 2019, our Centre had released six soybean varieties, Maksoy 1N, Maksoy 2N, Maksoy 3N, Maksoy 4N, Maksoy 5N, Maksoy 6N.

Over 94% of all varieties currently grown in Uganda were developed by MAKCSID.
